Description

I don't even know if they make these things for DSLRs. This is a 500mm mirror lens mounted on my old Yashica manual SLR warrior.

For those who have never used one, they get their focal length by bouncing the image twice from internal mirrors before it hits the film plane inside the camera. There are a couple of down-sides to these. They're not fast lenses and like any other "long" (in terms of focal length) lenses support is pretty much mandatory, so a tripod is your best friend here. Another anomaly is that if you get a lens flare, the reflection will look like a donut.

But I love this thing.

OMG. Thats mounted on the camera I use . A Yashica FX-3 Super 2000 (that camera is even my ID) . The only proper Yashica to to ever survive anything.
Unfortunately not every manufacturer produces mirror lens anymore. Back in the day, the prints use to look really good cause they used film.
Very few DSLRs can actually retain the image quality from a mirror lens as they did with 35mm. And so they died out. But still they can be found for any cameras at very cheap price.
