The snake's big brother

The Shelby Cobra GT350 was a true sporting breed. With its 289 Hi-rise V8 and all the unnecessary junk thrown out in a heap at the Shelby works, there wasn't a lot of weight. A sweet ride, for sure.

But what if you do the same thing and then just say "What the hell", and bolt in a 428 Police Interceptor in place of the 289? Think you could have some fun with that? That's what the 1967 model came with.

In 1968, production was moved to another company and the GT500 became the GT500KR (King of the Road), and the muscle was supplied by a 428 inch Cobra Jet V8 cranking 335 HP right out of the box. That's what this one is.
